Not Able to See Yahoo Messenger Messages? Try This!

The fans of Yahoo Messenger are all around the world and because the Sunnyvale company's chat solution is so popular, there are numerous problems encountered with it. One of the

most annoying problems discovered in Yahoo Messenger is that sometimes, you're not able to view any message coming from a contact or sent by you, as well as emoticons or audibles. Usually, the Yahoo Messenger chat window is empty and, even if you're writing messages, they are not appearing. Moreover, not even your name shows up. Well, this problem is usually caused by an Internet Explorer glitch that block the execution of the scripts in Yahoo Messenger. Very often, you can fix the error by enabling the scripts in Internet Explorer. This window can be also accessed straight from Internet Explorer by clicking on 'Tools' and opening 'Internet Options'.

Then, navigate to the 'Security' tab, select the Internet option (the Earth icon) and click on the 'Custom Level' button. You should be able to see a lot of options but what you need to change are some lines located in the 'Scripting' field. Scroll down until you find it and then enable 'Active scripting', 'Allow paste operations via script' and 'Scripting of Java applets are all enabled'. Click OK and Apply and it should be fixed. Keep in mind that you must restart Yahoo Messenger in order to use the new settings but no reboot of the computer is required.
